ASUS has prepared two new gaming notebooks for all gamers around the world – the ROG G551 and ROG G771. The novelties offer much improved performance compared to their predecessors thanks to all the latest PC technologies implemented there such as the newest Intel processors, tons of memory, powerful graphics cards and spacious hard drives and SSDs.
The G551 is the smaller model of the two coming with a 15.6-inch IPS display that works at 1366 x 786 pixels or 1920 x 1080 pixels depending on the version. The notebook measures 383 x 255 x 28-31.5 mm and weighs 2.7 kilograms. It is based on an Intel Core i5-4200H or Core i7-4710HQ processor and has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphics card with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory, up to 16 GB of DDR3-1333 memory, up to two 750 GB hard drives, a 256 GB SSD and a cache SSD with a capacity of 24 GB. The notebook has all the peripherals required including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Mini DisplayPort, HDMI 1.4, 3.5 mm audio jacks, USB 3.0 and more. Its pricing is unclear as of now.
The G771 belongs to the same line and is largely the same as the G551 except for dimensions. The G771 measures 415 x 280 x 30.4 – 35.6 mm and weighs 3.4 kilograms. The device also has a 17.3-inch IPS display at 1600 x 900 pixels or 1920 x 1080 pixels depending on the version of the notebook. The price of the G771 is also unclear.
