HTC Corporation unveils the successor of its popular Desire smartphone – the HTC Desire S. The company says that the new phone has taken inspiration from HTC Legend and is made from single block of aluminum, it has dimensions of 115×59.8×11.63mm and weighs 130grams.
The heart of Desire S is Qualcomm’s new 1GHz 8255 Snapdragon processor, has 768MB of RAM, 1.1GB internal storage and a microSD card slot if you want more. The handset runs Android 2.4 Gingerbread OS with updated Sense interface on its 3.7-inch WVGA (800×480) touchscreen display. Other specifications include: g-sensor, digital compass, proximity and ambient light sensor, GPS, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1., micro USB port, front-facing camera for video call and 5megapixel with autofocus, LED flash and 720p video recording, plus 1450mAh Lithium-ion battery.
The HTC Desire S, will be available across European and Asian markets during Q2 2011
