DFI introduce Atom™ based 3.5” single board computer – NP951-B16C. NP951-B16C is a small footprint single board computer that is utilizing Intel® Atom™ processor N270, FSB 533 and the mobile Intel® 945GSE Express chipset with Intel® ICH7M I/O controller hub, offering supreme computing performance at remarkably low power consumption for small compact and mobile computing platforms.
Measuring 102x147mm, NP951-B16C features the Intel’s Graphics Media Accelerator 950, support 18-bit dual channel LVDS and CRT, This NP951-B16C features one 200-pin DDR2 400/533MHz SO-DIMM up to 2GB of system memory, one Realtek RTL8111C PCI Express Gigabit controller. Advanced connectivity and expansion interfaces are provided by one mini PCI slot, one high-speed SATA connectors, two serial COM ports, six USB 2.0/1.1 ports, one CompactFlash socket and one DC-in 12V jack or 4-pin ATX 12V power connector.
The NP951-B16C 3.5” SBC motherboard is ideal for demanding applied computing and x86 embedded systems applications including medical electronics, industrial control, security & surveillance, telecommunications, ATM, and POS
Backside Thermal Solution:
This SBC board’s CPU and chipset were designed at the same backside. It will be an easy way for offering different heatsink requirements and IO functions extension capabilities.
The heatsink can be designed as small as CPU or chipset size or as big as customer’s requests without connector interference. In addition, this design will earn enough space for IO functions expansion on top side to satisfy different customer’s multi-application requests.
