Nintendo announced that the “100 Classic Books” compilation is now available for their handheld gaming console. Consumers can now turn their Nintendo DS portable console into a portable library with the compilation of some of the greatest books of the classic literature.
The “100 Classic Books” compilation includes a range of books for all different ages. It even includes seven separate works by Charles Dickens. Novels such as Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and Adventure and Mystery novels that people would enjoy on the beach are also included, plus many more.
Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Nintendo of America, Cammie Dunaway, said that 100 Classic Books transforms your Nintendo DS system into a portable library, and that readers of any age will enjoy exploring the many worlds, characters and adventures created by these icons of literature.
When the “100 Classic Books” compilation is executed on the Nintendo DS handheld, readers will be able to read the e-books “sideways” like a real book. Turning pages is easy as a swipe on the touch screen. A variety of fonts and settings for left-handed users are also available.
Readers can rate a book once they are finished reading it. They can also enter the central database thanks to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and upload their results there.
