The Samsung Epic 4G Android smartphone will be available on August 31st in Sprint stores for $249.99 with two-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate.
The Epic 4G sports a side-sliding full QWERTY keyboard, runs Android 2.1(Froyo update coming months), it has a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display supporting gestures, including multi-touch pinch, long tap and zoom and vertical and horizontal swiping. Powered by Samsung 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor wich supports 3-D graphics, the smartphone also boats GPS, digital compass, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, six-axis motion sensor, microSD card and dual camera- 5 MP camera with autofocus, LED flash and 4x digital zoom for photos and HD video (720p) video recording, as well as a front-facing VGA camera for video chat and more.
