With the Genus you actually have two phone in one – cellular and satellite and using the same number. The phone measures 4.7 inch x 2.5 inch x 0.8/0.6 inches, weights and 4.6 oz runs Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. It has internal antenna and satellite innovation that combines cellular and satellite connectivity for voice, data and messaging. The satellite pone is equipped with 2.6-inch 320×240 TFT touch screen display with 16M colors, supports WCDMA/HSDPA- 850/190 an GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth v2.0, microSD card slot, USB, 2.0-megapixel with autofocus and of course GPS connectivity.
The TerreStar GENUS utilizes the AT&T cellular network for primary ground-based wireless connectivity and when is needed it gains satellite access connectivity through TerreStar-1, the world’s largest commercial communications satellite, which acts as a cell tower in the sky. The smartphone allows you to gain access to expanded voice and data roaming coverage in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and in territorial waters.
