Toshiba Europe today unveiled a new desktop replacement laptops from its Satellite C series appropriate for “everyday computing needs” for users “on a limited budget”. The new 17.3- inch Satellite C670 and C670D laptops have TruBrite LED HD+ display (16:9), with 1, 600 x 900 pixels resolutions , 200 cd/m2 and 8ms response time, and are powered by Intel Core i3 ( C670) and AMD E-series Processors (C670D).
Spec- wise, they can be packed with up to 8 GB DDR3, up to 750 GB storage space, and integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD or NVIDIA GeForce 315M with 512 MB VRAM dedicated graphics for C670 model, and AMD Processor E-series with AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics or AMD Dual-Core Processor E series with AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics for C670D variant. They come with ergonomic, flat keyboard, an integrated 10-digit numeric keypad and a large touchpad with multi-touch functions. There’s also web camera with Toshiba Face Recognition for log-in without need to typing a password, and plenty of connectivity options like LAN, Wi Fi Bluetooth 3.0, Multi-Card Reader and USB 2.0 ports.
The laptops have dimensions 413.6 mm x 270 mm x 28.0 mm (front) / 37.9 mm (back), weight starting at 2.8 kg, come with textured finish palm rest and are available in two colour variations black, plus black with a white finish on the LCD cover and inside.
The Satellite C670/C670D will be available from March 2011 in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
