Altec Lansing has unveiled the next generation of its MIX digital boombox for the iPod and iPhone. The new iMT810 model features updated chrome styling with brushed aluminum accents and grips, along with blue LCD display and promising “thunderous bass” with its huge 5.25” side-firing subwoofer and 5.25” tuned passive radiator pump further enhanced with XdB technology for an “extra heavy punch.”
Altec Lansing MIX BoomBox IMT810 packs specially engineered horn-loaded tweeters and mid-range drivers, and a digital 7-band graphic equalizer with multiple EQ modes. It also has an integrated FM radio tuner and a couple of 3.5mm auxiliary input jacks for hooking up other music devices, in addition to Apple’s iPhone and iPod which also can be charged whenever docked. The system is now iPhone 4 certified and automatically pauses music when a call is received on the docked iPhone.
MIX BoomBox IMT810 can keep the party jumping up to 30 hours with eight D-cell batteries and also comes with a handy carabineer style, clip-on remote control. It is now available for $299.95 MSRP.
