Panasonic has revealed its first Full HD 3D capable home theatre projector which offers 1080p (1,920 x 1,080 pixel) resolution and claims that t is also the world’s first 3D projector to use transparent LCD panels driven at 480Hz.
The model codenamed PT-AT5000E offers 300,000:1 contrast ratio and 2,000 lumens of brightness, combined combined with Panasonic’s original Overdrive Technology for low crosstalk. It is equipped with a built-in 3D IR transmitter to enjoy 3D images with the same optional eyewear used for the Panasonic VIERA 3DTV. 2D-3D conversion feature with five different 3D effect modes is also included, along with Intelligent Lens Memory that enables users to programme up to six different zoom/focus positions, automatic switching between 16:9 and 2.35:1 video content and intelligent power management system. The projector has three HDMI inputs for multiple HD sources and two programmable 12-volt trigger terminals and VIERA Link.
The Panasonic PT-AT5000E Full HD 3D home theatre projector will be available from September for around $3,500 in the US and for 3200 Euro in Europe.
