Kingston, the popular US manufacturer of memory devices, has released a new breed of super fast SSD devices.
The new line called Kingston SSDNow V+200 will be based on the Sandforce SF-2281 controller and will boast with speeds of 535 MB/sec (read) and 480 MB/sec (write). The interface supported will be SATA 3.0. The new SSDs will come in different capacities – 480 GB, 240 GB, 120 GB, 90 GB and 60 GB with the 60 GB model making an exception – it will come with a little slower write speed of 460 MB/sec compared to the rest of the pack. As to the prices the models will be sold with prices of 970 USD, 479 USD, 245 USD, 196 USD and 140 USD for the 60 GB model.
The new drives will carry the SVP200S3 model number and will come with full 3-year warranty.
