PC peripherals maker Mad Catz has presented a new keyboard, which targets gamers and is called S.T.R.I.K.E.5 Professional.
The unusual thing about the new keyboard is that it is fully modular, which means you can arrange it the way you see fit. Perfect for all kinds of RPG, FPS, MMO, RTS, MOBA and other types of games the S.T.R.I.K.E.5 Professional offers backlighting and 21 programmable macro buttons over three modes to create 63 user-definable commands. The new gaming keyboard also offers nine programmable buttons on the E.Y.E. panel in addition to four more on the removable Function Strip. There also are three controls on the palm rest and five additional programmable keys on the NumPad.
Being a more budget-oriented model though the S.T.R.I.K.E.5 Professional lacks the V.E.N.O.M. sensor panel that you can find in the S.T.R.I.K.E.7 keyboard. Instead gamers get the aforementioned E.Y.E. panel, some extra keys and a small OLED display.
The S.T.R.I.K.E.5 Professional will cost around USD 200 when it comes to market. Gamers should be able to purchase the keyboard by the end of the year.
