The South Korean tech giant Samsung is getting ready to release yet another smartphone – the Galaxy Pocket Plus. The upcoming gadget will replace the Galaxy Pocket model while offering a bit more power.
Inside the Galaxy Pocket Plus will come with a Broadcom BCM21553 processor at 850 MHz, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a rear 2 MP camera, Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11n Wi-Fi, a GPS system and a FM radio, an accelerometer, a compass and finally a microUSB 2.0 port and a 1200 mAh battery. The display will be 2.8-inch and will work at 280 x 320 pixels. The smartphone will run Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Pricing right now is unknown but Samsung says the Galaxy Pocket Plus will cost about the same as the Galaxy Pocket smartphone. The Galaxy Pocket Plus will be released in H1 2013 but may be limited to emerging markets only.
