Samsung has finished work on a new tablet that will be known as Galaxy Note 8.0 (codename GT-N5100).
The Galaxy Note 8.0 will be powered by an Exynos 4 or 5 SoC chip and will feature an 8-inch Super Clear LCD display at 1280 x 800 pixels, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB or 32 GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot, a rear 5 MP and a front 1.3 MP cameras, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 2.0 port, a GPS receiver and support for S Pen. The Galaxy Note 8.0 will be available in two versions – one with HSPA+ and Wi-Fi and another with Wi-Fi only. A 4600 mAh battery will power the entire device.
The entire device will measure 211.3 x 136.3 x 7.95 mm and will weigh 330 grams. It will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The official announcement is expected next month at MWC 2013 in Barcelona, Spain.
