HP launches Pavilion 14 Chromebook

The list of chromebooks has grown with one more member thanks to the efforts of HP, which has launched the Pavilion 14 Chromebook. As expected the new device runs Google’s own Chrome OS.

The HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook is based on Intel’s Celeron 847 processor that runs at 1.1 GHz and the package also includes 2 GB of DDR3 memory. As for storage the HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook provides a 16 GB SSD but if this seems too little don’t forget that the purchase of the chromebook gives you up to 100 GB of storage space in Google Drive.

The rest of the specs is pretty much standard – 10/100 Ethernet LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, a 4-cell 37 WHr Li-Ion battery with up to 4 hours and 15 minutes of battery life, three USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI port, one RJ45 port, 1 headphone-out/microphone-in combo, a multi-format card reader, a built-in web camera and Altec Lansing speakers and finally a 14-inch HD BrightView LED-backlit display at 1366 x 768 pixels for a total weight of 3.96 lbs.

The HP Pavilion 14 chromebook is available now for USD 330.
