The Korean smartphone maker LG has released the water-resistant Optimus GJ smartphone. The device comes with a water-resistant chassis that allows it to survive at depths of up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes, measures 136.9 x 68.9 x 9.39 mm and weighs 141 grams.
The Optimus GJ does come with some nice hardware – it offers a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus display at 720p resolution (1280 x 720 pixels), a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with four cores at 1.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a rear 13 MP camera with 1080p video recording, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi with DLNA, LTE and a 2280 mAh battery.
The LG Optimus GJ runs the Optimus UI interface on top of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. As to the price – expect to spend around USD 600 in order to have it.
