The Taiwanese company Benq has started making smartphones once again with the company debuting not one but two separate models in a bid to enter this market again.
The Benq A3 is a budget-oriented device that is built on a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225Q processor and has 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. The smartphone also has two cameras (one at 2 MP and another at 8 MP), Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, an FM radio and a built-in GPS receiver. There’s a 4.5-inch IPS display too at 960 x 540 pixels. A 2000 mAh battery powers the device that measures 133.9 x 66 x 9.99 mm and weighs 135 grams. The A3 runs Android 4.2.2 and sells for USD 200.
The Benq F3 is the same smartphone as the A3 except that it comes with a different CPU – MediaTek MT6589, has a better camera at 13 MP, a more powerful 2100 mAh battery and a chassis that measures 131.6 x 66.9 x 8.9 mm and weighs 119 grams. The device runs Android 4.1.2 and sells for USD 270.
