Microsoft Excel has been around for decades and its usability and popularity have turned it into a “must-have” application. The problem with it is that it runs only on Windows and if you need to use it on another platform such as Android you are out of luck.
Google comes to help though with an application called Google Sheets. The app, which by the way is free, unlike Microsoft Excel, strongly resembles and works just like the Microsoft computer program. There are rows and columns again and you can enter and use data in pretty much the same way. Google Sheets is not Excel though and you can easily see this by the interface presented on top of the program window where there are icons that you will not be able to find in Excel.
Google Sheets is exactly what it says it is but this is a good thing as you can finally have most Excel functions on Android and for free at that.
