After months full of struggles the Chinese Lenovo has finally released its first 4K laptop. Called IdeaPad Y50 UHD the device comes in two versions, allowing you to choose a lower price and lower performance or a higher price for more power.
The standard version of the Lenovo IdeaPad Y50 UHD comes with a 15.6-inch UHD LED-lit display that offers 3840 x 2160 pixels of resolution. The notebook also comes with an Intel Core i7-4710HQ processor, 8 GB of DDR3L memory and a hybrid SSHD that offers 8 GB of SSD cache and 1 TB of HDD storage. In case you want to game you are covered – the IdeaPad Y50 UHD comes with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M GPU with 2 GB of VRAM.
The rest of the specs include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a 720p web camera, a backlit AccuType keyboard, premium JBL speakers, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, a headphone/combo jack, HDMI, a 4-in-1 card reader, Ethernet, SPDIF and a battery that promises to keep you online for up to 5 hours. An optical drive is, however, not included.
The more powerful version of the notebook offers 16 GB of DDR3L memory, a single 512 GB SSD and a discrete graphics card with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M GPU with 4 GB of VRAM.
The standard version of the IdeaPad Y50 UHD can be yours now for USD 1299 while the more powerful one will cost you USD 1599.
