The first DDR4 memory kits are already on the market but the choice is not that great and many famous memory makers still haven’t revealed their DDR4 memory modules. This is not true for G.Skill anymore as the acclaimed company has demonstrated its first Ripjaws 4 DDR4 SDRAM memory kits.
There are various models in the line that run at 2133 MHz, 2400 MHz, 2667 MHz and 3000 MHz with 15-15-15-35 latencies and 1.2V of voltage. All models come as 4 GB and 8 GB memory modules and are fully compatible with Intel XMP 2.0 profiles that enable flawless overclocking. Since these modules target the upcoming Intel Haswell-E chips and the X99 platform they will be available as quad-channeled kits with capacities of 16 GB and 32 GB.
A nice feature of the new memory is that it will feature all-new heat spreaders with high-tech Transformers-like design painted in red, blue or black.
In the UK, depending on the memory kit and speed, the new memory can be yours for GBP 240 and up.
