Yesterday we published an article on the iPhone 6 while the device was being unveiled at a special Apple event in the United States. Unfortunately back then we did not have the full picture on both new iPhone models so we could not comment on them. Here’s the full deal now!
We’ll start with the smaller 4.7-inch model. The new smartphone measures 138.1 x 67 x 6.9 mm and weighs 129 grams. The device has a LED-backlit IPS LCD touchscreen display that works at the unusual 750 x 1334 pixels resolution (326 ppi) and sports shatter-proof glass and an oleophobic coating for fewer fingerprints. The smaller iPhone also has 16 GB/64 GB/128 GB of internal storage, 1 GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, USB 2.0, a GPS receiver, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, a rear 8 MB camera, a 1.2 MP front camera and a dual-core Apple A8 processor that runs at 1.4 GHz. The device runs iOS 8 and has a non-removable Li-Po battery, which is a bit disappointing.
The other iPhone is dubbed iPhone 6 Plus thanks to its bigger display and somewhat improved tech specs. It comes with a LED backlit IPS touchscreen display that operates at 1920 x 1080 pixels (401 ppi) and measures 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm for total weight of 172 grams. The display also has shatter-proof glass and an oleophobic coating. The smartphone offers 16 GB/64 GB/128 GB of internal memory, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, USB 2.0, a rear 8 MP camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, one front 1.2 MP camera, a GPS receiver, a dual-core 1.4 GHz Apple A8 processor. 2 GB of RAM and iOS 8. The smartphone also has a non-removable Li-Po battery.
A nice fact is that both models feature an aluminum-made back and an Apple logo made from stainless steel. The smartphones will be on the market on September 19 in nine countries – the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. As to pricing in Europe the iPhone 6 will sell for EUR 700 (16 GB model), EUR 800 (64 GB model) and EUR 900 (128 GB model). The iPhone 6 Plus will cost EUR 800, EUR 900 and EUR 1000 respectively.
