The new MacBook Air with a 12-inch display, passive cooling and USB Type C will be released in the middle of next year, sources on the Internet have informed. The information has also been confirmed by the famous Apple blogger Jack March.
According to him the new Apple device will be as thin as possible and this is the reason why the next generation MacBook Air will sacrifice regular USB ports for USB Type C but Apple will include an adapter for backwards compatibility. In addition to that the notebook will not have a MagSafe port due to the same reasons. The display bezel will also be very thin and will resemble the current MacBook Pro Retina lineup. The keyboard will feature a special design – it will leave almost no space on the side, and the speakers will be located above the keyboard and visible.
On the hardware side the new notebook is expected to come with a powerful but energy-efficient Intel Broadwell processor and passive cooling. Unfortunately the other tech specs are unknown. The new MacBook Air will feature three colors – silver, gold and gray.
No more information is available as of now.
