The German maker of cooling solutions be quiet! has released the company’s first entry-level CPU cooler called Pure Rock. The cooler is a tower-based solution that measures 87.5 x 121 x 155 mm and weighs 660 grams including the installed cooling fan.
The Pure Rock comes with a 120 mm Pure Wings 2 cooling fan that offers “quiet and very effective cooling”, spinning at up to 1500 rpm. Thanks to its silence optimization technology the fan pushes through 51.4 cubic meters of air per hour and makes up to 26.8 dBa of noise. The Pure Wings 2 fan is PWM controlled and varies its speed upon the cooling requirements; the Pure Rock is compatible with CPUs with TDP of up to 130 watts.
The new compact cooler features four 6 mm heat pipes that transfer the heat produced and dissipates it through a range of aluminum fins through which the 120 mm fan blows. Eight heat pipe caps are situated on top of it.
The be quiet! Pure Rock is compatible with all Intel LGA 775/1150/1155/1156/1366/2011 and all AMD AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+/FM1/FM2/FM2+ processors. The cooler sells for EUR 32.90.
