The Taiwanese memory maker ADATA has presented the all new DDR4 XPG Z1 Gold Edition memory line, which includes high-speed DDR4 memory modules for all kinds of gamers and hardware enthusiasts around the world. Apart from this the new memory will be known for having gold-colored heat sinks on top of the memory chips that resemble jet wings to underline the great speed that comes with it. The heat sinks use ADATA’s unique Thermal Conductive Technology and 10-layer PCBs with 2 oz of pure copper so you can rest assured your memory chips will stay cool even during the hottest 3D game out there.
The new ADATA line plans to beat the competition with more speed than ever – the DDR4 XPG Z1 Gold Edition memory runs at 3000 MHz, 3200 MHz, 3300 MHz and even 3333 MHz at latencies of 16-16-16. Before that ADATA’s DDR4 gaming memory ran at 2800 MHz at 17-17-17 latencies so the speed gain is noticeable. Unfortunately there is a price to pay – the new DDR4 XPG Z1 Gold Edition line runs at 1.35V and not at the standard 1.2V for DDR4 memory, but even then ADATA says this voltage is lower than that featured in standard DDR3 SDRAM.
The new memory can be used on Intel X99 motherboards coupled with Haswell-E processors. There is no word on how much one memory stick of this memory costs but given the specs you will have to spend some serious cash. Just to let you know – Intel XMP 2.0 is also supported.
