There’s one thing that we have to admit when it comes to smartphones – there are numerous Chinese companies that make such handsets but they are not that popular outside of China, which is a sad thing. Why? Well, the reason is that you can find smartphone gems made by Chinese companies if you look hard enough and by gems we mean devices with top notch hardware for little money.
The Elephone P7000 smartphone is one such device. Made by the Chinese smartphone maker Elephone, which quite honestly we haven’t heard of and we bet you haven’t too, the P7000 is the company’s flagship smartphone for year 2015. The device includes some nice hardware inside – it has an eight-core MediaTek MTK6752 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory that can be expanded via a microSD card slot, a large 5.5-inch display at 1080p resolution, one f/2.0 rear camera at 13 MP, another 5 MP front camera, LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and several colors to choose from – gold, white and gun-metal gray. However, despite the nice hardware, the main perk of the P7000 lies elsewhere – the phone is said to be able to work with seven individual ROMs out of the box, including Android KitKat, Cyanogenmod, Xiaomi MIUI, Freeme OS, Huawei EMUI, Meizu Flyme OS and finally Android Lollipop.
The Elephone P7000 will be available at the end of April for just USD 240 but you can pre-order your P7000 online now for USD 229.99.
