The manufacturer of gaming hardware Razer has pleased its fans and gamers around the world with the release of the all new Razer Firefly gaming mouse pad. This is the first Razer hard gaming mouse pad that comes with Razer’s Chroma lighting feature and thanks to it gamers’ eyes will be treated with 16.8 million colors to choose among as well as other numerous lighting effects to the mouse pad including reactive, wave and spectrum cycling.
The new Razer mouse pad comes with lighting along its left, right and bottom borders and is capable of syncing with other Chroma-enabled Razer devices in order to provide virtually limitless color combinations. The mouse pad has a micro-textured finish that offers a perfect balance between control and speed and the optimized reflective surface makes sure that mouse movements translate to very precise cursor movements and quick in-game responsiveness.
“The Razer Firefly opens up a new category for the Chroma family,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “We’ve designed the Razer Firefly with the best components for a gaming mouse mat, along with the new, fully-customizable Chroma lighting. No one said you can’t win with style.”
The list of features continues with a non-slip rubber base that is mandatory for all gaming mouse pads. This ensures that the mouse pad remains in place during intense gaming sessions so you won’t fall victim to your in-game enemies because of a moving mouse pad. The Razer Firefly also includes a 7-foot, lightweight, braided fiber cable, a gold-plated USB connector and support for Razer Synapse. The mouse pad measures 355 x 255 x 10.04 mm/13.98 x 10.04 x 0.16 inches (L x W x H) and weighs 380 grams (0.84 lbs).
In order to use the new Razer Firefly to the fullest you will need a PC or Mac computer with a free USB port, Windows XP/Vista/7/8 or Mac OS X 10.8 or newer, a connection to the Internet, 100 MB of free hard drive space and a Razer Synapse account. The gaming mouse pad will be available in June 2015 for USD 59.99/EUR 74.99.
