Samsung has launched a new tablet, known as Galaxy Tab E. The launch event has taken place in Taiwan and here are the tech specs of the Galaxy Tab E. Codenamed SM-T560, the slate measures 241.9 x 149.5 x 8.5 mm and weighs 490 grams.
The device is available in white only and has a 9.6-inch display at WXGA resolution (1280 x 800 pixels), a quad-core processor at 1.3 GHz, 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 128 GB), a rear 5 MP camera and another 2 MP front camera, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 2.0 port and a GPS/GLONASS receiver. The tablet is powered by a 5000 mAh battery but there’s no information on whether it has LTE.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab E runs Android 4.4 KitKat but the OS will be upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop. The tablet also has Microsoft Office and OneDrive pre-installed.
The Galaxy Tab E will sell for USD 226 when it becomes available at the end of June.
