Sapphire Technology Limited, known as one of AMD’s loyal partners, has launched its new Radeon R9 390X video card called Tri-X R9 390X. The new video card measures 308 x 127 x 42.3 mm and occupies two slots with ease.
The Sapphire Tri-X R9 390X comes with the latest Grenada GPU and offers 2816 stream processors, 176 TMUs and 64 ROPs at 1050 MHz and 8 GB of GDDR5 memory at 6000 MHz effective, serviced by a 512-bit bus. To offer its entire power of 8.5 TFLOPS the card uses power from two additional 8-pin power connectors.
The Tri-X R9 390X comes colored in black and orange colors and offers the acclaimed Tri-X cooling solution with three low-noise cooling fans, a massive heat sink and Intelligent Fan Control (IFC-II) technology that turns on and off the cooling fans. It is worth noting that when the card is idle, the fans do not spin, something, which makes the Tri-X R9 390X noiseless. In addition the new Sapphire Radeon R9 390X offers one Dual-Link DVI port, one HDMI port and three DisplayPort ports.
The new card is now available and it sells for around USD 429.
