Samsung has quietly updated its popular 850 Pro and 850 EVO SSD lines with two new models that come with 2 TB of capacity. The first model is called MZ-7KE2T0BW and belongs to the 850 Pro line, while the second model is called MZ-75E2T0B and belongs to the 850 EVO SSD line.
The new Samsung 850 Pro model is based on MLC 3D V-NAND flash memory and features a triple-core Samsung MEX memory controller as well as a 10-year warranty. The 850 EVO MZ-75E2T0B model comes with TLC 3D V-NAND memory, the same memory controller and a 5-year warranty.
Both models should be on the market in the next few weeks. The 850 Pro model will sell for USD 1000, while the 850 EVO model will cost USD 880. These prices are preliminary, though.
