It seems that Corsair might soon enter one more business area – after making computer memory and power supply units, Corsair plans to start producing mini PCs.
The first representative of the new mini PC line is called Bulldog and is scheduled to appear by the end of year 2015. The computer will be a DIY (do-it-yourself) part, which means users will have to use their imagination but the good news is that Bulldog can be customized in hundreds of ways so you can really have the exact configuration that you want. The machine is housed in a faceted chassis that includes a mini-ITX motherboard on the Intel Z170 chipset, which means it is designed to run the latest Intel Skylake processors. The device also has a H5 SF liquid cooling system by Hydro, which takes the generated heat outside the PC chassis.
The Corsair Bulldog will be able to take up to two DDR4 memory modules at up to 2400 MHz and there will also be one PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot for video cards, SATA and USB 3.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet controller, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, a 7.1-channeled sound system, S/PDIF, and three 3.5 mm audio jacks. The computer will be powered by a 600W power supply unit by Corsair.
The cheapest Bulldog version will sell for USD 399.
