Samsung is getting ready to release one more smartphone on the market where the device will be known as Galaxy Mega On (codename SM-G6000). The device will be an entry-level phablet for people who cannot spend that much money on the Galaxy Note 5 phablet but there’s a price to pay – the tech specs of the Galaxy Mega On won’t be able to compete with the hardware inside the Galaxy Note 5.
The device is said to come with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 412 processor that features four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.4 GHz. There will also be Adreno 306 graphics, support for LTE Cat 4, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB or 16 GB of internal memory (depending on the version chosen), a microSD card slot for expansion, a 13 MP rear/5 MP front camera combo, Bluetooth 4.1, 802.11n Wi-Fi, a GPS receiver and finally a 5.5-inch sensor display at 720p resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). First GeekBench3 tests show that the Galaxy Mega On achieves 460 points in single-core tests and 1367 points in multi-core tests. The device is expected to measure 151.8 x 77.5 x 8.2 mm and to weigh 145 grams.
There’s no information on when the Samsung Galaxy Mega On will appear and how much it will cost.
