The US-based maker of computer cases, CPU coolers and power supply units Raidmax is developing two new liquid cooling solutions for modern processors, called Cobra 120 and Cobra 240. They will serve both AMD and Intel processors and will be on the market next month.
The Cobra 120 and Cobra 240 share most of the tech specs but there are two differences that must be mentioned. The Cobra 120 comes with a 120 mm heat sink and a single 120 mm fan, while the Cobra 240 has a 140 mm heat sink and two 120 mm cooling fans. The coolers include copper bases and built-in water pumps with ultra durable components that prolong the cooler life by 100 times compared to other competitors. The water pumps come with ceramic valves and operate at 2500 rpm while the cooling fans spin at 500-1300 rpm achieving up to 81.1 CFM of pushed air at noise levels of up to 21.2 dB. They also feature long life bearings and ensure at least 40 000 hours of operation. The water block of the Cobras measures 67.5 x 65 x 35 mm while the heat sinks of the Cobra 120 and Cobra 240 measure 154 x 120 x 27 mm and 274 x 120 x 27 mm, respectively.
The Cobra 120 and Cobra 240 are compatible with all Intel LGA 775/115x/1366/2011 and 2011-3 processors and all AMD AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+/FM1/FM2 processors. No word on pricing as of now.
