Zotac, which is known for making small form factor PCs and video cards, has announced the new NEN Steam Machine – a small form factor gaming computer that is optimized for Steam gaming.
Zotac says the NEN Steam Machine is the most powerful small form factor Steam computer and there’s every reason to believe it – the computer comes with an Intel 6th generation quad-core Core i5-6400T Skylake processor at 2.2 GHz (up to 2.8 GHz with Turbo Boost) and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 graphics card with 3 GB of GDDR5 memory. The NEN Steam Machine offers 8 GB of RAM memory that can be upgraded to 16 GB and a pre-installed hard drive with a capacity of 1 TB. If this is not enough the NEN Steam Machine also supports M.2 SATA solid-state drives. You also get four HDMI 2.0 ports, a 3-in-1 card reader, a Gigabit Ethernet port, 802.11ac Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 2.0 ports, three USB 3.0 ports and a single USB 3.0 Type-C port, audio jacks and a pre-installed copy of Steam OS.
The NEN Steam Machine bundles the revolutionary Steam Controller in the package too, which makes the whole product even better. The controller allows gamers to experience better precision control and includes dual trackpads, HD haptic feedback, dual-stage triggers, back grip buttons and full control scheme customization.
No word on pricing as of now but given Christmas is just a few weeks away we should see the new NEN Steam Machine any time soon.
