Intel’s Braswell processors are not the fastest ones the company has in its arsenal of chips but they do a perfect job in small form factor PCs, budget notebooks and in cheap motherboards. Strangely enough Intel has just three models in the line – the dual-core Celeron N3050 and the quad-core Celeron N3150 and Pentium N3700 processors. This will change very soon, though.
Intel plans to add a few more chips to the Braswell line and they will be Celeron N3060, Celeron N3160 and Pentium N3710. The chips will feature a new D stepping, instead of the older C stepping found in the first three Braswell members. The new chips will arrive in January 2016 and in addition to them we will also get a few more low-power J3000 processors – Celeron J3060, Celeron J3160 and Pentium J3710. These three chips will have TDP of just 6.5 watts and will also debut in January 2016.
There are no technical details as of now so we suspect the new chips will come with the same integrated graphics cores and the same caches with the only difference being clock speed, which will be increased for sure.
