The budget-oriented Galaxy Tab E tablet line by Samsung has gotten one more representative. The new slate that joins the pack is called Galaxy Tab E 8.0 (SM-T377) and looks a lot like the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 on the inside.
The new Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (MSM8916) and has 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The slate also has an 8-inch capacitive TFT touchscreen display but this time the display works at 1280 x 800 pixels, which is higher than what’s seen on the Galaxy Tab A 8.0. On its back the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has a 5 MP camera with autofocus and an aperture of F/2.2 and up front there’s a 2 MP shooter with the same features. Furthermore the device has 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, a GPS receiver, a microSD slot for expansion, a 5000 mAh battery and support for LTE. The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 runs Android 5.1.1 and measures 212 x 126 x 8.9 mm for total weight of 355 grams.
No word on pricing as of now.
