Many people around the world have hobbies – some like to practice sports, other collect post cards or engage in listening to music, playing cards, reading, you name it. Some people like to solve crosswords for that matter but this is not that easy sometimes – you have to look for a crossword computer program on the Internet or go out and buy a newspaper to solve the crossword inside only to do this again the next day. Isn’t this annoying?
Well, we have the solution for all people who love crosswords – a free Android app called Crosswords. This is probably everything you have been looking for. Given the nature of this game, Crosswords is a simple app – it has a short start menu and then you can start playing. The game will show you various crosswords (that are not that big, unfortunately) and then you are on your own. A major plus is that Crosswords supports English and then five more popular languages, so chances are you will be able to solve the crossword in your native language. In addition to this the game has more than 2300 crosswords so you will be occupied for a long time!
Unfortunately there are some problems with this otherwise very nice Android game – first, only a few of the crosswords are free and you have to pay for the rest of them. In addition the crosswords can be really hard (fortunately there’s some in-game help) and they are not that big, which we mentioned above. Finally, being a very simple app Crosswords does not come with any sound or graphical features – what you get is a crossword and nothing more!
Well, what should we say about this app? First, it will appeal to people who like crosswords but there’s the part that you have to pay for new puzzles. Otherwise we did not see any deal-breaking problems here, apart from the nuisances above. So if you like crosswords – try this game and pay the developers for their work but if this is not something you want to do, then keep on looking.
