LG’s new flagship smartphone, known as G5, comes with a Snapdragon 820 processor inside. Yet, despite, this LG has announced a new version of the G5 flagship that has a Snapdragon 652 processor inside.
The new Snapdragon 652-based G5 smartphone carries the H850 code name in order to be distinguished from the older G5 version. The new LG smartphone will be sold in the countries of Latin America, where the G5 with Snapdragon 820 will not be sold. It is unclear whether the G5/Snapdragon 652 smartphone will be released in other parts of the world. In addition to this the new G5 will be available in Latin America in two versions – with 3 GB of RAM and with 4 GB of RAM.
The Snapdragon 652 processor is built around four Cortex-A53 cores that run at 1.4 GHz and another four Cortex-A72 cores that operate at 1.8 GHz. The rest of the specs are the same as in the older G5 version – you get a 5.3-inch sensor display that works at 2560 x 1440 pixels, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a 16 MP rear shooter and an 8 MP front camera as well as a 2800 mAh battery. The device also has 32 GB of internal memory, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, numerous sensors and more.
There’s no information on when the new Snapdragon 652-based G5 will be in stores or how much it will cost but this information should become available soon.
