The maker of PC monitors BenQ has announced the new BL2420Z monitor. This is not your everyday monitor, though – the BL2420Z is designed for business professionals who look at the screen for long hours every day. To reduce the harm eyes can sustain the BL2420Z comes with a special blue-light mode that works to reduce eye-strain by reducing the harmful blue light by up to 70 per cent. The monitor also has a non-PWM method of reducing brightness of its LED back-lightning, which makes it flicker-free.
Specs-wise the BL2420Z is nothing special – the monitor has a 24-inch display that works at Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), 250 cd/m² of maximum brightness, a 3000:1 static contrast ratio, and 178-degree viewing angles. In the back the monitor has D-Sub, HDMI, DVI, and DisplayPort connectors and a 2-port USB hub. Up front the BL2420Z has two 2-watt speakers that should help you enjoy multimedia content.
