Along with the HP ENVY x360, which happens to be the world’s first notebook using the brand new AMD Bristol Ridge APUs, HP has presented what seems to be the world’s thinnest notebook – the HP Spectre. The device is just 10.4 mm thick, which makes it comparable with various smartphones. In addition the Spectre weighs just 1.1 kilograms but maybe the secret for these achievements lies in the fact that the Spectre comes with a 13.3-inch display.
The new HP notebook sports a really nice chassis that is made of carbon fiber and aluminum. The display has Gorilla Glass protection and works at 1920 x 1080 pixels. Inside the Spectre has Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors with the Skylake architecture as well as 8 GB of RAM and SSDs with capacities of up to 512 GB. In addition to this the new notebook has Bang & Olufsen speakers, and three USB Type C ports with two of them having Thunderbolt 3 functionality. The battery inside the HP Spectre has enough capacity to power the notebook for up to nine hours.
The new HP Spectre will be on the market on May 22, but you can pre-order yours starting on April 25. The base configuration of the Spectre will sell for USD 1170.
