The first benchmarks of the upcoming GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card have been unleashed onto this world and they describe a really interesting graphics card that has every chance to become a new bestseller on the market.
The GTX 1070 will arrive on June 10 as previously announced. The card will feature the so-called GP104-200 GPU, which has 1920 CUDA cores and a 256-bit memory bus. The card will utilize 8 GB of GDDR5 memory and will run its GPU at 1506 MHz (1683 MHz Turbo). Due to these hardware specs the GTX 1070 will require additional power that will come over an 8-pin power connector.
On to the benchmarks – according to them the GTX 1070 is a tad faster than the GTX 980 Ti in Fallout 4 at 2560 x 1440 pixels at Ultra settings under DirectX 11 and Windows 10 64-bit. At the same time the card is faster than the GeForce GTX Titan X in the same benchmark. In Hitman 2016 at maximum details and under DirectX 12 and Windows 10 64-bit the GTX 1070 is just as fast as the Radeon R9 Fury and again faster than the GTX Titan X. In this benchmark the GTX 980 Ti is far behind the GTX 1070. You can see more details right here.
The upcoming GeForce GTX 1070 video card is expected to sell for around USD 450 in the United States when it comes to market on June 10 this year.
