A few weeks ago when AMD announced the Radeon RX 480 video card we knew that the 4 GB version of this card would cost USD 199, which was a great price for a graphics card that had enough muscle to drive any game at Full HD resolution. But what about the 8 GB version of the Radeon RX 480?
Well, AMD has just announced the price of this video card as well. It turns out that the Radeon RX 480 with 8 GB of GDDR5 memory will sell for just USD 229, which makes the RX 480 with 4 GB of memory almost unneeded. The news is also official since it came out of the AMD office in Poland. Of course this is the price of reference models so overclocked ones or custom-cooled RX 480 cards will surely cost more.
The Radeon RX line is expected on June 29 and it seems that this graphics card line will become a smash hit this summer thanks to an unprecedented price-performance ratio.
