Elephone released its P9000 Edge smartphone earlier this year but the company apparently feels the device is underpowered by today’s standards so an updated P9000 Edge model is in the works. The new handset will come with a different memory configuration, a larger display and a faster processor.
In case you have forgotten, the first P9000 Edge smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch display at Full HD resolution, a Helio P10 octa-core processor and 4 GB of RAM. The new smartphone will build on this by offering a 5.7-inch display with JDI technology inside, a 2K resolution, a MediaTek Helio X25 processor, a dual camera system with a dual-tone flash, and a 3100 mAh battery. In addition to this the new P9000 Edge will have two versions – the first one will have 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, while the second one will arrive with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory.
As to pricing the 4 GB RAM/32 GB memory version will sell for just USD 249 but there’s no information how much the model with 6 GB of RAM will cost.
