Gigabyte has decided to introduce a new GeForce GTX 1070 video card just days after it launched the GTX 1070 Xtreme Gaming model. The new video card is called GeForce GTX 1070 WindForce 2X OC and as the name suggests it comes with an overclocked GPU.
The GeForce GTX 1070 WindForce 2X OC employs the WindForce 2X cooling solution that utilizes a compact twin aluminum-fin stack heatsink and a pair of 90 mm cooling fans that do not turn on if the card is in idle mode. The factory overclocked GPU runs at 1582 MHz and reaches 1771 MHz in “OC mode”. In “Gaming mode” the card will have its GPU clocked at 1556 MHz with a 1746 MHz boost clock. The 8 GB of GDDR5 memory seems to have NOT been overclocked so we assume it runs at 8000 MHz and uses a 256-bit memory bus. The display connectors list includes three DisplayPort 1.2 connectors, a single dual-link DVI port and a single HDMI 2.0b port.
In the USA the GeForce GTX 1070 WindForce 2X OC currently sells for USD 399.
