Apart from the Galaxy J7 Prime smartphone, Samsung is getting ready to announce a new smartphone, which will serve as the successor of the Galaxy Grand Prime, which was launched two years ago. Back then the Galaxy Grand Prime had a Snapdragon 400 processor and a 5-inch qHD display.
The new smartphone, which is presumably called Galaxy Grand Prime 2, will have a 5-inch display that will likely work at 1280 x 720 pixels. The SoC inside will also be upgraded but what we know is that the Galaxy Grand Prime 2 will have a quad-core processor at 1.44 GHz and that’s about it. The promising news is that the chip is expected to be significantly faster than the Snapdragon 410. Moreover the Galaxy Grand Prime 2 smartphone will have 1.5 GB of RAM and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The new handset is expected later this year and currently there’s no information how much it will cost.
