Fujifilm has announced the upcoming release of a new high-end compact digital camera known as XQ1. The new device measures 100 x 59 x 33 mm and weighs 206 grams.
The XQ1 will be available in two colors – silver and black – and will offer a 12 MP X-Trans CMOS II sensor, a powerful EXR Processor II image processing unit, a Fujinon lens with 4x optical zoom, 25-100 mm of focus range, 4x digital zoom and a 3-inch LCD display with 920 000 pixels.
In addition the XQ1 will offer 100-12800 of ISO sensitivity, 66 MB of internal memory, support for SD/SDHC/SDXC cards, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, a microHDMI port and a built-in NP-48 lithium-ion battery. The camera also supports MPEG-4/H.264 recording at Full HD resolution.
The XQ1 is expected in November 2013. The camera will cost USD 500.
