A-Data has officially launched the DashDrive Elite HE720 – which the company says is the world’s thinnest external hard drive.
The new drive boasts a thickness of just 8.9 mm, which makes it thinner than the very thin Toshiba Canvio slim. Housed in an anodized aluminum chassis for better protection the drive offers a LED that notifies the user when the drive is transferring data and a touch button for one-touch data backup.
Unfortunately the drive comes with USB 2.0 support only and capacity is limited to 500 GB. The good news is that the A-Data DashDrive Elite HE720 costs just 89.99 USD and offers a two-month trial version of Norton Internet Security 2012.
The external hard drive is available now.
