The Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has presented its new high-end server solid-state drive line known as ES3200 v2. The line includes models with capacities that range from 600 GB to 3.2 TB and uses a PCI-E 2.0 x8 form factor as well as 20 nm MLC NAND flash memory.
The new line provides 3 GB/sec of sequential read speed and 2.1 GB/sec of sequential write speed and 750 000 IOPS while reading as well as 220 000 IOPS while writing. The power consumption of the line is also low – full-sized SSDs consume 55 watts of power, while low-profile SSDs of the same line need just 25 watts. All models also come with support for ECC and various other protections against electric shocks and more. The drives feature a 5-year warranty too.
