Those of you looking for a large solid-state drive should be happy – the US SSD maker Micron has expanded its MX300 SSD line with a new model that can take up to 2 TB of data. This makes the new MX300 SSD the third in the world to offer such a capacity after the Samsung 850 EVO 2 TB and the Samsung 850 Pro 2 TB.
The new solid-state drive will be available in mid-September. It will reach 530 MB/sec of sequential read speed and up to 510 MB/sec of sequential write speed. In addition to this the new SSD reaches 92K and 83K of random 4K blocks read and write speed, accordingly.
The price of the new SSD is unknown but when you have in mind the prices of the Samsung 850 EVO 2 TB and the Samsung 850 Pro 2 TB, the new 2 TB Crucial SSD will sell for around USD 600-700.
