Mobfish Hunter is an action-oriented game that will appeal to fans of the genre. The app takes you to a dark future where pollution is out of control, causing sea and river fishes to mutate into vicious monsters. It is up to you now to combat these evil creatures with mines and then to kill as many as possible in order to restore the natural sea and river balance.
This is the story that lies behind this free Android app but it seems credible enough. The gameplay is simple – you play as a young boy who drops a mine into a polluted bay – the goal here is for your mine to go as deep as possible without hitting an object, which will make it go upward. When this happens the mine becomes active and by touching a fish the mine kills it. Dead fishes bring you points that can later be used to buy new mines, rise in the ranks and unlock new levels, which, by the way you can do the second you start the game, but this will cost you real money.
Given the gameplay, Mobfish Hunter comes with 2D graphics only but they are very detailed and nice and we cannot say anything bad about them. The game also has nice sound effects that complement the entire picture so we have no complaints here as well.
Mobfish Hunter is an action game that does not require too many skills from you and it is not too demanding on your Android hardware. Given this do not expect FPS-style action – instead things are milder here but in any case there’s adrenaline in this app. So Mobfish Hunter will appeal best to people who want some action but not too much. Our final verdict is positive – the game can keep you occupied and it brings fun in the long run, which is always a nice thing.
