Thumb Drift – Furious Racing, as you can see, is an Android game with a rather long name. Does it really deserve it, though?
Obviously here you will race and more importantly you will perform drifts with the car that you will get. In fact this is the main idea behind the game – if you like drifting but you cannot perform it in real life, why not do it on your Android device then? To help you with this the game comes with more than 60 cars taken from real life as well as four sound tracks that you will get to listen to while playing. The game, however, features the so called guest cars, which do not really exist so this is a nice addition to this game. The gameplay is simple – the game does not have a tutorial so you are thrown right into the action. You start driving a default car which moves by itself so your only role is to swipe your finger left or right to make the car drift. To do that you have to slide your finger onto a line that you will get to see on your device display. The problem with the line is that it is too thin and sometimes it is hard to keep your finger onto it. If this happens you lose the control over the car and it takes just seconds for you to crash. This is a major problem with Thumb Drift – Furious Racing, which has the potential to ruin the gameplay. In addition to this the game comes with very simple visuals that will make you feel you are playing a game from the early 1990s. We can somewhat understand this because the main thing you will have to do here is drift but the graphics could have been better. The sound inside the game is also nothing special.
Thumb Drift – Furious Racing is not the best drift game we have seen but it may do depending on what you want and need. On one hand the game is simple, which keeps the overall hardware requirements low but on the other hand the game seems to be too simple, which is a downside. The main problem with the app is that the control line is too thin and this ruins the gameplay. It would be nice if the developers release a patch that fixes this. Given all the problems Thumb Drift – Furious Racing comes with we cannot say that the game is more than an average representative of the drift genre.
