The Android operating system has been conquering the world lately with its nearly ubiquitous presence in various devices – smartphones, tablets, cars etc. But this is not enough for Android it seems – the mobile device OS has just conquered mobile displays too.
Epson has just unveiled the Moverio BT-100 See-Through Display, which is based on the popular Google OS. The Moverio BT-100 See-Through Display is world’s first Android-based see-through wearable display, and it uses micro-projection technology and an Android-powered track-pad controller to enable users to view streaming video, experience side-by-side 3D content and enjoy downloaded digital content on a virtual 80-inch perceived screen projected into the user’s real environment.
The innovative mobile display also comes with built-in Wi-Fi, a microSDHC card slot with an included 4 GB card and 1 GB of built-in storage, while the installed battery promises up to six hours of rechargeable battery life.
The new device will cost 699.99 USD.
